Our customer brought this very well kept E53 chassis X5 to us for a backup camera solution as his son was going to drive the SUV. He didn't like the look of an aftermarket double din in this car and the amp retention hardware was quite expensive. We recommended the RDTK R20X as a "2 birds, 1 stone" solution as it would protect his son as a dash cam and provide a backup camera function. This is a high quality dash cam with 2K front camera resolution and 1080P rear camera resolution. We mounted the camera on the license plate frame for the most centered image. We couldn't mount the camera lower as it would hit the rear bumper when the bottom half of the tailgate was opened
