Because of how dense the engine bay is, BMW placed the oil cooler facing down towards the road
The plastic skid tray from factory would not be able to protect the oil cooler if any decently sized debris made contact
No modifications required, and mounts using factory hardware
Manufactured using 5052 aluminum
