This customer reached out to us looking to prep their 2021 Tiguan for off-roading and camping. The Tiguan platform didn't seem to be a popular platform for off-roading but on the contrary there's a decent demand for it. The issue is that most of those parts are custom fabrication or a mix and match from different VW SUV platforms. This customer did not want to trim fenders or bumpers to fit the new wheels and tires. Installed was a set of Eibach Pro Lift Kit springs (P/N E30-85-043-05-22) on the OEM shocks, which provides ~1.5" front lift, ~0.9" rear lift. The choice of wheels and tires were Falken Wildpeak A/T4W mounted on Fifteen52 Alpen MX. While the A/T4W are a bit louder than the previous generation A/T3W, they offer a more robust tread and firmer ride. This is a solid starting point to this build.
Upon test driving we noticed the springs are stiffer than OEM springs. While expected for a lift spring kit, there is more NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) which is something to consider when lifting or lowering a vehicle (especially if using aftermarket springs on OEM shocks).
