We fitted this Tesla Model Y long range with a set of 20" winter wheel package. Generally, most customers pick a 19" combo to go with more sidewall on rougher winter roads, but the 20" setup definitely looks sharp on this EV. We went with the Replika R241 wheels in 20x8.5 +35 with 255/40-20 Pirelli Sottozero 3 NCS ELT winter tires. These tires are equipped with the noise foam which helps reduce road noise, typically on luxury and electric vehicles. The Sottozero 3 is also a sporty winter tire, offering excellent handling and driving dynamics and uncompromising feel. For 2021 (and newer) Model 3 and Model Y, we install a set of original Tesla BLE bluetooth tire pressure sensors. We are one of a few wheel and tire shops that has access and regularly stocks genuine Tesla TPMS sensors.
For older Tesla models, we can use our own programmable tire pressure sensors which offers significant savings over the factory part. These replica style wheels also can reuse factory center caps and lug nuts. That being said, because Tesla uses an aero cover on many of their wheels, their lug nuts have a relatively unfinished appearance, and some customers opt to choose standard chrome or black acorn style lug nuts. The Replika R241 wheels are also flow formed so they're lighter than many aftermarket options which does help to conserve energy and improve range.
