We installed a very aggressive set of Fast FC04 wheels on this Model 3. The wheels are 19x9.5 +35 with a 265/35-19 Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ tire on them. These tires run true to size if not a bit wide so most tires of this size should have no issues on this car. We did not experience any rubbing with this setup on the Model 3 Standard Range Plus with stock suspension.
These are lightweight flow formed wheels weighing in at just 20 lbs per wheel, while the tires weigh in at about 29 lbs per tire. With the Pilot Sport A/S 3+ performance all around is superior to the stock Primacy MXM4 tires. While the Tesla T0 Michelins tend to run quieter thanks to the acoustic foam inside them, the tires leave some to be desired in terms of ultimate grip. The Pilot Sport A/S 3+ are a great performer in the dry and the wet, with respectable winter performance for an all season tire.
All-in-all the new setup weighs just about 2.5 lbs more than the factory 18" wheel (without aero covers) and should actually be lighter than the factory upgraded 19" wheel and tire combo. Range is likely reduced due to the wider contact patch and more rolling resistance though.
We paired these wheels with Ceco spline drive lug nuts for a more refined look compared to the very raw factory nuts. These lug nuts will fit in the tightest of wheel lug holes and are a good and affordable choice.
