We fitted this mint condition Subaru Forester (less than 40000km!) with a Pioneer double din unit and a Blackvue DR900S-2CH dash cam system. The head unit we installed was the Pioneer MVH-2400NEX which offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additionally it has bluetooth and USB inputs for much more connectivity than the stock 6 disc CD changer system. This generation Subaru Forester and Impreza uses a standard double din radio size so no dash kit is required.
The Blackvue DR900S-2CH is one of the best dash cams on the market and offers 4K front recording with 1080P rear recording. It also features an incredibly fast and user-friendly 5GHz WiFi connection. These upgrades really transform a 15 year old SUV into a modern and enjoyable runabout.
There is room for further upgrades that this vehicle could further benefit from. The double din head unit is backup camera ready and the internal 4CH amp on this Pioneer could be paired with some much nicer speakers than the factory Subaru units. The dash cam can also benefit from a battery pack for longer parking mode recording times.
