The Thinkware U3000 2CH is our favourite dash cam of the moment as it features so many refinements over Thinkware's flagship dash cams of the past. Radar motion detection is now integrated into the camera body which makes for a more streamlined look. There are downsides to this as the rear camera body is larger than previous Thinkware rear cameras and the rear camera cable is thicker. This does make installing on a difficult vehicle like this Porsche Panamera which has a tight headliner even harder.
Radar motion detection reduces power consumption significantly which preserves your battery and extends parking recording time. Other features include 4K front camera resolution and 2K rear camera resolution, in our opinion this camera offers a great combination of video quality and recording time, however the 64GB card supplied is a bit small for this resolution. Not to worry though as larger cards like 128GB or 256GB are relatively affordable these days.
