If you were looking for lightweight and fully forged 19" wheels that won't break the bank, look no further than ApexRacePart's 19" VS-5RS. Our customer brought in their 997 911 to swap out the factory wheels for a staggered set Apex VS-5RS and Continental ECS tires.
When Apex made the announcement for their 19" VS-5RS's, they offered it for Porsche fitment in both narrow body and wide body fitment. This 997, being a narrow body, went with 19x9+50 and 19x12+63 stagger. Even at 12 width in the rears, they only weigh 21.2lbs per rear corner (excl. tires)! The fronts come in sub 20lbs at an insane 18.5lbs per front corner (excl. tires)! The lighter the wheels, the better the car accelerates as there is less rotating weight.
To finish up on this setup, we installed a Tarrett stud conversion kit to make easy of swapping wheels.
