Porsche 718 GT4 RS Track Prep

The 718 GT4 RS is one of those Porsches that is ready to hit the track as soon as it's delivered to the owner, but we know there's always improvements that can be done to optimize tune the car. Tarett Engineering is a big Porsche parts shop that we trust with high quality suspension parts to help further improve handling capabilities. The factory camber adjustments is too tame even on the 4RS, so we installed Tarett's front and rear camber plates, toe arms, and camber shims. We dialed the camber to 2.5 degrees on the front, and 2.2 degrees in the rear. More aggressive camber means allowing the tires to wear more evenly if the driver is capable of taking turns at higher speeds. Every point of degree helps with maximizing the tire limited tire life on the Cup 2's.

Then we installed some Manthey Racing brake lines and flushed the brakes with Castrol SRF (see here for brake fluid comparisons, and why we highly recommend SRF for vehicles that drive on track).

The wing on the 4RS has adjustments available, which we did to maximum angle of attack as the tracks we have around BC favour hard braking.

Lastly, to top this preparation off we did an oil change with Mobil1's C40GT oil specified for Porsche GT vehicles and a track spec alignment.
