This Mercedes ML came in because they wanted whiter and brighter headlights, as their base model came with the softer white which was also getting dimmer. Installed were a pair of H7 HID's for the low beams. With this upgrade however, canbus cancellers and special H7 adapters were needed to fit these bulbs. This generation and newer Mercedes use a proprietary connector and clip combination which will not fit with aftermarket LED or HID bulbs. The new HID's have much brighter output, and gives the outgoing style a nice upgrade in the looks department. Similar upgrades exist for the W166 ML/GLE class cars that did not come with factory Xenon headlamps. A Thinkware F200 Pro 2 channel was also installed while the HID's were being swapped in.
