With less than 50km on the odometer, our customer brought his new Lexus UX hybrid straight to us for a dash cam setup. We recommended the Thinkware Q800 Pro as it offers some of the best video quality in a 2-channel dash cam along with the excellent reliability of a Thinkware dash cam. In our experience, Thinkware dash cams are by far the most reliable dash cam, even with their entry level models which may have lesser video quality.
We hardwired this dash cam system with the Thinkware hardwire kit (TWA-SH) to run in parking mode. This will protect the vehicle in the event of a hit and run which is what our customer was most concerned about. We hide all the wires and properly run the rear camera through the hatchback grommets so as not to compromise any water resistance. The fuse box in this vehicle is located below the steering wheel and above the driver's side kick panel.
