We installed this Thinkware U1000 with radar module and iVolt battery pack for this Infiniti Q50. The radar module and energy saving parking mode when paired with the iVolt battery pack can keep this camera running for up to 4 days on a full charge. The difference with the radar module is only the front camera will trigger with motion detection, so we do recommend backing in for stall parking. The other difference is that motion detection is only triggered at a close distance, if there is movement from far away such as trees moving in the distance, they will not trigger recording unlike traditional motion detection.
For the battery pack, it does take about 45 minutes to fully charge. We were able to fit the battery under the driver's seat and hardwired it to the fuse box by the driver's footwell. We made sure that there was enough clearance for the various wires and motors under the seat.
