Sporting the futuristic design is this Hyundai IONIQ5 that our customer brought in for a Blackvue DR750X-2CH and iVolt Battery install.
The idea behind installing the external battery was implemented as most Hyundai and Kia hybrid cars don't mix well with the voltage cut-off settings on most dash cams. Most modern dash cameras have a built-in cut-off voltage at around 12V, and these new hybrid cars do not always cut below 12V. As a result, there is potential unnecessary battery drainage. The iVolt external battery was placed under the driver's seat.
