We installed this axle-back (P/N: P/N: 49-37002-1B) exhaust for the Hyundai Elantra GT 1.6 Turbo. It is essentially a muffler delete which removes the rear "suitcase" section and adds in a pair of dual outlets with a sporty black tip design. The exhaust is also available in a burnt tip finish as well as a more standard looking polished chrome tip. The exhaust is made from 304 stainless steel for excellent durability and the tips are a 4" size which is larger than factory.
*Disregard the background noise, there is hammering in the background not to be confused with exhaust crackles
AFE Claims up to 9 horsepower and 9 lb-ft of torque gains from this exhaust. We can't confirm the power gains but it definitely gives the car a much more throaty sound. This system retails for about $700 (CAD) and is a modest upgrade for any 1.6 Turbo Elantra GT. The sound is not overbearing when driving on the highway and only sounds aggressive at higher RPMs since the factory midpipe is still in place.
