This FK8 Civic Type-R came in for some new wheels and tires for the summer season. These are the latest TE37SL Super Lap wheels from Rays Engineering. These wheels have been designed for the ultimate in track performance, reducing the weight, increasing the widths available and allowing bigger brake kits to be installed.
The 18x9.5 +38 sizing in Pressed Graphite is a concave Face 3 version that provides ample brake caliper clearance for the FK8 Civic Type-R. We mounted a set of Falken FK510 tires in 265/35R18 sizing, which is slightly wider than the factory tires. These tires provide exceptional value in terms of its cost-to-performance ratio, punching above its weight when it comes to the grip levels it provides, which is comparable to other higher-priced performance tires.
