Installed in this Mach-E are a Thinkware U1000 2CH dash cam and an iVolt external battery pack. The battery pack was hardwired to the fuse box by the passenger footwell, and the pack itself was placed underneath the passenger seat. A couple things to note regarding this installation: any vehicles that have a hatch opening rear door do require an extra half hour of labour, and any time a dash cam is installed on an EV, a battery pack is always recommended. In EV's, there are potential battery drain issues because the vehicle's battery pack does not always dip down below 12 volts, which would prevent the dash cam from cutting off power to itself.
