Our customer's 2019 Ford F-150 Platinum is a fully loaded truck with all sorts of cameras and technology in it. Even so, a dash cam is a vital accessory that should be added to any vehicle that sees a lot of mileage and work use. It can protect the driver against fraudulent claims that can jeopardize insurance premiums as well as a business' reputation. For this top of the line truck, we installed the top of the line Thinkware U1000. This latest dash cam offers 4K front recording and 2K rear recording. The front camera can also be stepped down to 2K @ 60 frames per second for smoother recording. The dash cam system is hardwired to record in parking mode as well. For this pickup truck, the middle part of the rear window slides so we mounted the rear camera off to the driver's side where it would not interfere with the moving glass.
