We installed these 18x8 Fast FC04 wheels in gloss black for this white VW Golf Sportwagen. The contrast makes for a unique and sporty look while the stance is more aggressive without being too wild. We went with an 18x8 +40 which is 17mm wider than the factory 18x7.5" sizing. Not only that, but these lightweight flowformed wheels weigh in at just 18.8 lbs. The factory wheels weighed about 5 lbs more per corner which is significant in terms of rotational and unsprung mass. This should help the car corner better, ride better, and even deliver better fuel economy.
Wheel fitment should be similar to other Volkswagen models like the Jetta, Golf, and GTI. We used spline drive tuner lug bolts to install these wheels as the factory radius bolts won't work with most aftermarket wheels.
We finished it off with Lumens Sportline LED bulbs. Note that with these vehicles, a CANBUS canceller is required to eliminate flickering and bulb malfunction warning messages. An adapter is also required to fit the H7 bulb in the factory housing.
