This 2007 Dodge Caravan came in for a new head unit and to diagnose a speaker issue, only having driven an incredibly low 59,000km since new! While the customer said he barely drives, he still wanted to add Bluetooth connectivity into his van to make and receive phone calls, as well as to stream music from his phone. We installed Kenwood's KDC-BT378U CD head unit, with variable colour illumination, Siri and Alexa compatibility, front USB and AUX input ports, and the ability to connect two phones simultaneously.
Upon diagnosing the lack of sound coming from one of the front speakers, we found that one of the speakers was blown, which required replacement. We swapped out the factory front paper cone speakers with 6x9 JVC CS-DR6930, which feature a 3-way design consisting of a carbon mica woofer, a midrange driver, and a tweeter. With a new head unit and new front speakers, the customer can once again enjoy his music while driving, with significantly improved sound quality, with ease of connectivity via Bluetooth!
