In preparation for the Stage 2 Bootmod3 tune, we installed a new intake and NGK 97506 laser iridium spark plugs on this BMW M2. After a dozen track days and 20000 kilometers, the spark plugs were overdue anyway. BMW does include this in their prepaid maintenance but this 2018 car had not reached that service interval yet.
We previously installed an Active Autowerke downpipe, VRSF charge pipes and front mount intercooler but it was running a stock tune. For the ProTuningFreaks Bootmod3, we chose the ACN91 tune. Although 94 octane is available in the Lower Mainland, we find Canadian gas is generally of lower quality compared to American gas so the ACN91 is a safer option. This is an off-the-shelf (OTS) tune from Bootmod3 which has a few configuration options and is updated/revised from time to time.
