We installed the Brey Krause power sliding seat bracket adapters to this F87 M2 Competition with Recaro Pole Position seats. We used the narrowest adapter they make (R-9281) which can accommodate most regular sized bucket seats. We've used this adapter with Recaro RS-G, Recaro Pole Position, and Status Ring GTX seats.
The kit is incomplete as it does require purchasing a separate E30 power window switch and wiring is needed to retain the power sliding function. Recline is set via the side mount bolts so there is obviously no power reclining function. We recommend setting the seat a bit further back to accommodate helmets. While we were doing the wiring for the seat, we also added heated seat pads to the Recaro cushions. We installed the heated seat switch next to the seat belt receiver. The switch can also be drilled in to the center console for a more permanent install.
The Brey Krause kit does not include anything to cancel out the airbag/restraint error. We also do not offer coding services to address the warning light, however drivability remains the same. Without coding, an error message does appear on the iDrive and on the cluster. The factory seat does have an airbag and seat position sensor on it.
