Among the Thinkware dashcams we carry, the ARC 700 is the best new mid-tier camera. The ARC 700 2CH offers 4K front resolution with adjustable FPS (4K @ 30fps or 2K @ 45fps) and 2K @ 30fps for the rear camera, which is the same as Thinkware's U3000 2CH. This puts the ARC 700 between the Q200 and U3000 in terms of price and performance. One of the main differences between the ARC 700 and U3000 is that the U3000 has the radar module built-in whereas the ARC 700 allows you to add the radar module separately. You get the resolution of the U3000 without the ARC 700 price tag.
We installed the Thinkware ARC 700 2CH in this brand new Audi A5 (B10) Sportback. Since the new B10 A5's only come in the Sportback version, 2 channel installation is a bit more costly due to the complexity and time needed to route the cable into the trunk lid. With most European vehicles we recommend installing the Thinkware iVolt external battery pack.
