Alfa Romeo Giulia QF Girodisc Iron Conversion

Carbon ceramic brakes (CCB) is a nice option to have for any sports car, but realistically there isn't much real world use for it aside from bragging rights. While CCBs have decent weight savings vs iron rotors, they don't perform well in the cold and are absurdly more expensive to replace when needed (Alfa Romeo retail on the CCBs for the Giulia are looking at over $10000!). Most track enthusiasts end up switching to iron/steel rotors because it offers better performance cold and overall more cost effective to run considering these parts are consumables.

Our customer purchased the car which already had the CCBs optioned in and wanted to convert to iron discs. Girodisc's iron disc conversion is the perfect option as they can replace just the rotor rings when time comes for replacement. The iron disc conversion kit retails for roughly $5000, which is half of the cost of the CCB kit. Replacing the rings is roughly $3000 including installation, which would definitely be cheaper than replacing the CCB rotors.
