2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV Battery and Range Comparison

It can be confusing to figure out just how much battery and range you're getting with the new Chevrolet Silverado EV as the literature on Chevy Canada's website is lacking some info or make it confusing to find. The Ultium battery is a modular configuration and comes in various setups on the 2025 Silverado Electric. To make matters worse, the configurations for 2024 and 2025 are very different.

For 2025 there are 3 sizes of battery, standard, extended, and max. 4WD is standard but do note that higher trims with more equipment and weight will suffer in terms of towing capacity, range, and payload despite having the same battery. Premium packages with larger 22" or 24" wheels will also hurt the range. You can see how with the same battery the WT and RST Extended range models can have a pretty large gap.

The RST trim adds significant weight with standard 24" wheels, adaptive suspension, and four-wheel steering as well as other luxury features. To make up for the weight, the max range models get the fastest available 350 kW charging which is good for about 160 kms of range in just 10 minutes, however stations with that charge speed are hard to come by at the moment.

By doing the math and a bit of research we can figure out just how big the batteries are.
