Our customer asked us for a recommendation on a winter wheel and tire package for their 2023 Subaru Outback XT. With our extensive research on wheel and tire fitment, we thought the Motegi MR139 is an appropriate wheel for the Outback, with it's affordable price point and rally inspired look. Sporting 17x7.5 +40 on the MR139, it sits approximately 20mm further out than the factory 17x7 +55 wheels. This sizing works well as it grants more track width while not extending past the fenders. The tires we chose are Michelin X-Ice Snow in 235/65R17, 0.5" larger diameter than stock tires. As mentioned in previous posts, larger tires do help with ground clearance and cushioning on harsh winter roads. X-Ice Snow's have super reasonable pricing and are one of the best winter tires on the market, it's hard to go wrong with this choice.
