Our customer brought in their brand new GLE 53 AMG Coupe for a dash cam installation, which only had 46 kilometres on the odo at the time. They were already hesitant to drive the car out without a dash cam installed but realized it was necessary. They wanted top resolution for their camera and extended parking mode, so we installed the Thinkware U1000 2 channel dash cam plus the Cellink NEO external battery pack to remedy their issue.
We've done a couple of these vehicles before already, but to stress, the installation for this vehicle does take more labour to complete. Additionally the routing areas for the hardwire kit is tighter than most vehicles. Installing dash cameras on this vehicle will incur about an extra hour of labour. The external battery was installed in the trunk, underneath the cargo space cover next to the spare tire.
