This unique Storm Bay Metallic 2020 BMW X1 came to us for a dash cam setup. As with any newer BMW vehicle, a battery pack is a must have for parking recording. Without a battery pack, the camera will trigger a battery discharge warning as the battery drains faster than the car's computer accounts for. We installed the Thinkware Q800 Pro front and rear dash cam along with the Cellink Neo battery pack. This combination is good for about 20 hours of parking recording on a full charge. This camera records at 2K (1440P) front and 1080P rear, so the file sizes are quite large. We highly recommend getting a 128GB card to take advantage of the extended parking recording on these cameras. We mounted the battery under the passenger's seat and got power from the fuse box behind the glove box.
