Our customer reached out to us wanting to get a more aggressive wheel/tire look on his Forester. After going back and forth on a few different choices, we settled on the Motegi MR139 15x7 +15 wheels, mounted on BFG KO2 tires in 215/75R15 sizing.
The Forester came mounted on the factory 17-inch wheels, on 225/55R17 tires. The 215/75R15 BFG KO2 tires are just under an inch bigger in diameter, and fills out the wheel wells much better at factory ride height, while also giving the owner more off-road prowess should the Forester ever be taken off-road.
As this wheel/tire setup is larger than the factory diameter, there is slight rubbing at full-lock on both sides of the front fenders. While the rubbing will be heard and felt during parking, there is no contact between the tires and the fenders during normal driving at any time.
